Carmen studied voice at the prestigious Peabody Conservatory
in Baltimore; and privately with Marielaine Mammon, and Antonia Kitsopolous
of the Metropolitan Opera.
She has appeared in numerous Cabaret and Concert performances
in New York City, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and throughout New Jersey, as
well as performing with the Mendelsohnn Choir and the Pittsburgh Symphony
Orchestra. She has presented solo recitals most notable, Spirituals
To Ragtime To Jazz at the Watchung Arts Center and The Bickford Theater.
This show was recorded live in the studio in the Spring of 1997.
While residing in Pittsburgh, Carmen sang the National Anthem
at many Pirates home games.
Carmen has appeared in commercials for Night Court and Cheers,
shown on the Fox network.
Carmen has most recently appeared with the Livingston Symphony
Orchestra in a program of operatic, light opera and broadway selections.
She has presented solo recitals most notably, Spirituals To Ragtime
To Jazz at the Watchung Arts Center and The Bickford Theater. This show
was recorded live in the studio in the Spring of 1997. She has also
performed at The Parsippany Arts Center; Producers Showcase, N.Y.C;
Metropolitan Methodist Church, Baltimore; St. James’ Recital Hall,
Baltimore; The Sussex County Oratorio Society and Morristown’s
First Night. Carmen spends much of her time performing in recitals with
her tenor husband, John, throughout the Tri-State area, in programs
ranging from Opera to Broadway to Jazz/Pop with such prestigious jazz
performers as Rio Clemente and Regan Ryzuk.
